Lets ROCK!

Homework was all done, so it was time to ROCK! Little dude decided to dust off the Rock Band equipment and play some music. He is so focused when he plays.
I played around in PSE with this picture. I like how it came out. He is such my little rockstar!
And finally, here is the latest drawing from the big kid. He is really enjoying his Art class at school. This is just one part of the project. The second part is being graded and I will definitely post a picture when he brings it home.

What fun!

Ok, so I'm home now after getting my little dude from school. It's early out as it is conference week, so it is 12:15 pickup for him. The middle school is in until 3:25 so I have some time to fiddle on my computer. Anyways, I go to the photography message board that Sam got me hooked on (she sure influences me) and someone posted how to do this cool effect to pictures. I figured, what the heck, I have a TON, lets go play!

This is my original from yesterday:
And this is what I did to it in PSE:
Here is another original photo I played with:

So as you can see, I have really been using my time wisely! :)

Happy Early Birthday To Me!

About a week ago, I was told by my super, wonderful husband, Daniel, that I was getting a box in the mail. Hmm, what could it be? He ordered me a new everyday lens for my camera! It is a Tamron SP AF28-75mm F/2.8 lens. It came highly recommended from my friend and fellow photographer Sam. She actually let me borrow hers about a month ago and I fell in love with it! I so didn't want to give it back and go back to using my kit lens. It took such sharp, beautiful pictures! Well now, thanks to Daniel, I have my own!

This picture isn't the best as it was taken with my cell phone, but you get the idea. I love my new addition and so can't wait to put it to work! I did take a few shots with it over at Sam's, in her backyard....

Then yesterday, I decided to take a drive and see if I could find some nice wildflowers. They are sprouting up everywhere now and just asking to be photographed. These ones I found on the side of the road.

This flower is my favorite!
